The Park consists of the Tobacco & Alcohol Monopoly Bureau warehouse and the historic building that was once the Tainan Branch of the Office of the Taiwan Governor General during the Japanese Period. The red brick building was built in the early 20th Century. It was hidden behind high walls and large trees for a very long time before being refurbished and opened to the public. It is now used to host a variety of exhibitions. The century-old government office brings the elegance of Japanese architecture back to life and is now used by craft artists as a creative workshop.
